Madrid, 15-16 December 2016: The Euromed Police Project gathered first the first time the members of its analysis network, in the premises of the Spanish Security Technological Centre (El Pardo, near Madrid, Spain).
The Euromed Analysis Network will play a crucial role in the implementation of the Euromed Police Project. Throughout the exchange of analysis, its different experts (the so-called “ANASPOCs”) will be in charge of identifying the threats affecting their respective countries in the priority areas of the project. This analysis will be the starting point of the Euromed Police mechanism, which will result in capacity building actions connected with the threats identified by the members of the analysis network.
The ANASPOCs gathered in Madrid have been introduced to the Euromed Threat Forum, as the platform that will be operated for the exchange of analysis. The Euromed Threat Forum is a collaborative and secure web platform hosted on the Europol Platform for Experts (EPE). This tool will centralise the information in a controlled and secured environment.
